A lot of Honda enthusiasts out there share a passion for video games like Forza Horizon. To bring a fusion of the gaming world and the actual lineup to life, Honda unveiled a 2014 Civic Si at the recent Chicago Auto Show. Let’s take a closer look at how this virtual design was transformed into a full-size model.

Honda held a design contest that allowed Forza gamers to submit their ideas. Amongst the 170 entries, Tiffany Labedz’s design stood out the most with its flashy red and black color scheme and VTEC engine. After using her favorite Honda models from the video game as inspiration to customize her Civic, Labedz decided to have some fun with designs ideas of her own.

Tom Peyton, American Honda assistant vice president of advertising explains, “At Honda, we love meeting our customers where their passion lies, and the racing and custom car design in Forza Motorsport is definitely a passion for so many Honda and Civic enthusiasts.”1

Fans at the Chicago Auto Show were dazzled by the finished product. After all, there aren’t too many automakers out there that use virtual cars to design full-size models. If you’re interested in experiencing the customized vehicle, simply purchase the Xbox One game Forza Motorsport 5.
